As we advised at the beginning of the article, stay in charge of your choices. Once you have made them, delegate all or part of the organization. We advise you to contact the specialists in the field, the wedding organizers, also known as wedding planners. There are a few of them in Tahiti who can guarantee you a flawless organization, for a wedding that is as surprising as it is successful. (more on tahitimagazines.com)

Decoration

You will have plenty of time to choose the fabrics, plants and flowers with your decorator or with your best friends, mothers, aunts and mamas. All of them have recognized expertise in floral decoration. However, some trends are emerging for 2025-2026 that we would like to share with you.

Trendy Wedding Colors

For weddings in 2025-2026, it seems that one color is favored by wedding planners: sage green. You know it, we often have a plant in our garden. Originally from East Africa or Asia, this sage arrived in Tahiti via New Caledonia. The plant is referenced under the scientific name Plectranthus amboinicus, but it is more commonly known as Indian mint or giant thyme. The taste of the dried leaves is similar to a mixture of aromatic herbs combining thyme, sage, mint and oregano.

What interests us here is its color.

Chic, rustic, soft and pale, with a bohemian touch, soothing and elegant, it is perfect for a wedding, both in terms of outfits and decoration. Original and refined, this shade offers a reassuring timelessness. Finally, it goes easily with many other colors, sometimes very bright, and allows for many possibilities, both in terms of clothing details and in terms of flowers and decoration.

The other color chosen as color of the year 2025 and which we are starting to see everywhere is moss mocha, which you will find in pantone all over the web. It goes very well with sage green.

Finally, South Sea islands oblige, with powerful contrasts of bright orange verging on red (the color of many Tahitian flowers, such as birds of paradise, hibiscus, flamboyant or ‘ōpuhi) and duck blue or ocean blue (moana, navy blue), which can be found in many Polynesian fabrics. The options are endless, as long as the combination of pale and bright colors works.

Accessories

Of course, you will want a suit, a dress (especially the dress!), or simply a new outfit, in any case not worn in fenua, for your wedding. But there is no need to ask everyone around you to get dressed up. While we advocate consuming less and consuming better, in line with sustainable development, think about this for your wedding: accessorize! Belts, suspenders, bow ties, vegetable necklaces, buttonholes, suit pockets or crowns for the boys, bracelets, stoles, bouquets, flower barrettes for the bride and her bridesmaids. Not forgetting, of course, the clutch bag, in leather, satin, velvet or rhinestones, with or without a thin chain or wrist strap. Simply classy! With these accessories, you are not only dressed for your wedding, you are stylish at a lower cost. Not to mention the harmony of colors that you were looking for so much for your ceremony. It works with any shades you choose. And, for the sustainable side of you, you like the idea that all the accessories can be used again on other occasions. Full marks!

Enchanted Lights

For the dance party after dinner, don’t worry too much about the lighting: bands and DJs usually bring what they need, and hotels are well equipped. But if you want a magical atmosphere, you can think about using LED lights on the tables, along the pillars, cascading down the walls, enhancing the flowers, or illuminating the ceiling of your reception hall like an austral summer sky. Outdoors, we recommend a constellation of tea lights on the ground, coupled with suspended garlands above the tables, open-air café style. With online orders or Tahiti specialty shops, providing the lighting for your wedding is no longer a budget concern.
